Mrs. Margaret (nee DeLuca) Martucci died on Thursday, November 10, 2022 in West Orange. She was 96 years old.
Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Sunday, November 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered on Monday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lakeside Avenue, Verona.
Born in Staten Island, Mrs. Martucci lived in South Orange for 60 years and Verona prior to moving to West Orange in 2017.
Mrs. Martucci was a loving homemaker and wonderful cook who enjoyed having family and friends around the table enjoying her special meatballs and gravy.
She was a volunteer for many years at Our Lady of Sorrows School Cafeteria and also at the Maplewood Senior Citizen Center.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Dominick Martucci, and 10 siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Rose Farbaniec (Frank) and Joanne Miller (Robert); her grandchildren, Michael Farbaniec (Rebecca), David Farbaniec (Diana), Michelle Farbaniec, Nicole Farbaniec Connors (Christopher), Nicholas Miller and Stephanie Miller; her sister, Rosa Sergi and great grandchildren, Benjamin Dominic Farbaniec, Norah Rose Farbaniec and Nolan Michael Farbaniec.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of New Jersey, 6412 Dewey Avenue, West New York, NJ 07093 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
