Mrs. Diane Sue Mahn, 77, died on September 5, 2018 at home in Verona, surrounded by her loving family. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, will be on Monday, September 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Born in Hoboken, Mrs. Mahn lived in Bloomfield prior to moving to Verona 52 years ago.
She graduated from Bloomfield High School third in her class of 417, an achievement of which she was most proud. For 20 years Mrs. Mahn was the office manager for Dr. Lawrence Davidson, an ophthalmologist in Verona.
She was a member and eucharistic minister at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Cub Scout den mother – Pack 5 Verona, a Brownie Girl Scout leader, volunteer with the Knights of Columbus and vice-president of the Verona Senior Citizens. She was also an avid walker, swimmer and gardener.
Mrs. Mahn is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frederick Mahn; her loving children, James Mahn, Michele Greco, M.D. (Steven) and Lisa Bonnist (David); and her cherished grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan, Haley, Courtney, Steven, Jr., Nicole, Christopher, Daniel, Meghan and Brian. She is also survived by her sisters, Elaine Bieksha and Marlene Mode.
