Mrs. Linda Lee, 72, died on January 19, 2015 in New York City. Funeral services will be held in the First Lutheran Church, 1337 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, on Saturday, January 24 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Lee moved to Verona in 1976. She has a bachelor of arts from Kean University and a masters degree from Bank Street College.
Mrs. Lee was a guidance counselor working primarily at the Louise A. Spencer School. She retired in 2002 after 37 years with the Newark Board of Education.
She served on the Board of the Essex County Counselors Association and the OCA- NJ Chapter and was a member of the Women’s Guild of Calvary Lutheran Church in Verona.
She is survived by her husband, Lehman (Ray) Lee, her son, Christopher Lee (and his wife, Laura) and her siblings, Rose Leong, Robert Lee, Dorothy Patch, James Lee and Susan Lee.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Linda Lee Scholarship Fund at the OCA – NJ Chapter, 16 Meadow Lane, Verona NJ 07044 would be appreciated.
