Mr. Michael “Mike” Melia, 86, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 at his home in Verona. Services and interment were private.
Born and raised in Montclair, Mike moved to Verona in 1963. He was sales manager for McDonough Tire in Little Falls for over 16 years and then became manager at multiple Bergen Tire stores.
He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Tessie (nee Rapisardi) Melia; his brothers, Angelo, Ralph and Robert Melia; and his sisters, Mary Pezzino and Eva Pezzino.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joan (nee Dominick) Melia; loving children, Michael, Joanne, Rick and Kenneth Melia; his cherished grandchildren, Jessica Solek, Renee Buono and Elise Melia; and great-grandchildren, Jaiden Solek, Olivia Buono, Christian Buono and Natalie Buono. He is also survived by his sister, Josephine McGeady.
