Mr. Michael S. Gallo, 82, died at his home in Verona on September 20, 2021.
Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on Friday, September 25 from 4 to 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday at 10 a.m. Use the rear church parking lot entrance on Montrose Ave. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Newark, Mr. Gallo grew up in Belleville and moved to Verona in 1981.
He graduated from The Juilliard School of Music in New York City with the Class of 1962 and taught music throughout his career with the last being at the Felix Festa Middle School in the Clarkstown School District of New City, N.Y.
Prior to teaching, he fulfilled his love for theater by performing in various stage performances. His voice brought joy and enriched his audience.
Mr. Gallo was predeceased by his parents, Michael A. Gallo and Jean M. (nee Tuosto) Gallo.
He will be missed by colleagues, friends and former students.
