Richard P. Nicolette Sr., 66, passed away at his home with his family in Verona on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Richard was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Richard is survived by his adoring wife, Lori, daughter Marisa and Joe Trentacost, daughter Jessica Nicolette and fiancé Anthony Grasso, son Richard P. Nicolette Jr., five grandchild Gerard, Nicolette, Alexa, Vincent and Joelle. His mother Dolores Nicolette, his sister Diane Griener and family, his mother in law Margaret Rogers, sister in law Sharon Celfo and family, many cousins who were so special to him, and loyal friends. He was pre-deceased by his father, Peter Nicolette.
Richard is originally from Belleville, where he met his wife Lori of 43 years, started his businesses and created life-long relationships with almost everyone he knew. He will be missed by his loving pets Mia, Olivia and Buddy. Richard will always be remembered for the kind and gentle man that he was.
The funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, was held on Thursday, March 4, 2021. A funeral mass was celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley on Saturday, March 4, followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Donations are being accepted for The Shriners Hospital for Children.
