Mr. Lawrence E. “Larry” Foran, 73, died on December 4, 2019 in Dover. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Saturday, December 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. Burial prayers will be at the Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. Foran lived in North Arlington and Verona before retiring to Sanford, N.C. in 2003.
He worked as a conductor for CSX Railroad in Kearny for 38 years and volunteered with Company 1 of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years, receiving exempt status in 1988.
Mr. Foran is survived by his wife, Karen J. Foran, daughters, Jennifer Derin (Darren) and Michelle Moorhouse (Stephen), grandchildren, Julia, Ashley, Ryan and Zachary and his sister, Natalie Nuccitelli.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Verona Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
