Mrs. Ruth (nee Coerper) Hayes, 95, died on December 12, 2012 at the Kimberly Hall North Nursing Home in Windsor, Conn. A short graveside service will be held in the Coerper family plot at the Rosedale Cemetery, Orange Road, Montclair on Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m.
Born in Bloomfield, Mrs. Hayes lived in Verona, returning to Bloomfield from 1960 to 2000, when she moved to Connecticut.
She was an Assembler for the Westinghouse Corp in Bloomfield for 31 years, retiring in 1971.
Mrs. Hayes is the wife of the late Sidney Hayes and is survived by nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. Her brothers were all Verona volunteer firemen.
