Mrs. Josephine C. Burguillos, 91, died on April 3, 2018 at The Cliffs in West Orange. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Thursday, April 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Friday at 10 a.m.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Mrs. Burguillos lived in Montclair prior to moving to Verona.
She was a graduate of the St. Barnabas School of Practical Nursing and worked for St. Barnabas Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 26 years before retiring in 1995. She was formerly a member of the Verona Senior Citizens, and a volunteer with the Verona Service League.
Mrs. Burguillos was predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Burguillos and her son-in-law, Angelo M. Buonomo.
She is survived by her loving children, Catherine Buonomo Ryans (Robert), John V. Burguillos, and Richard J. Burguillos (Theresa); cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Vallone (Joseph), Thomas Buonomo, Michael Buonomo, Elizabeth Law (James), John B. Burguillos (Julie), Brian Buguillos (Sabrina) and Gregory Burguillos and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Buguillos is also survived by her sister, Ann Salvia and brother, Louis Broncati.
