W. Joseph Lytle, 58, of Wall, N.J., passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Joe was born in Montclair, N.J., raised in Verona and moved to Wall 18 years ago. He attended Glassboro State College and graduated in 1976. He was the Regional Sales Manager for Main Steel, Tinton Falls. A Communicant of St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt, he was a member of the Church’s choir and was lead guitarist in their music ministry. An accomplished guitarist, he played in the band Longshot, among others. He was an avid sports fan of the Yankees and Giants.
He was predeceased by his father, John P. Lytle, who died in 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joan Godal Lytle and his son Eric Lytle. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Lou Lytle, Sea Girt, N.J., his brother Paul and his wife Carol Lytle, Hobe Sound, Fla., his sisters and their husbands, Denise and Fred Muniz, Broomfield, Col. and Lisa and Jim Margl, Sea Girt, N.J. and his sister-in-law Grace Hardison. His nieces and nephews include Connie Sullivan, Deborah Franchi, Elizabeth and Ashley Hardison, and Rafael and William Muniz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 9:30 a.m at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, N.J. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery, Wall, N.J. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall, N.J.
