Mrs. Phyllis A. Pierro, 79, died on January 14, 2016 at the home of her daughter. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Monday, January 18 at noon. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Pierro lived in Lyndhurst prior to moving to Verona in 1972. She was a materials manager at Lyn-Maid Lingerie Clothing Manufacturers.
Mrs. Pierro was predeceased by her beloved husband, George A. Pierro, her dear son, Joseph C. Pierro, and her brothers John and Sam Milici.
She is survived by her loving children Michael A. Pierro (and his wife, Nancy Gordon) and Lisa A. Pierro-Ramos (and her husband, Rafael), her dear friend Robert C. Tucker, her cherished grandchildren Michael J. Pierro (and his wife, Mallory), Alexandra M. Alberti and Joseph P. Pierro. She is also survived by her sister, Constance Puleo (and her husband, John), her brother Carmen Milici (and his wife Bea) and her brother-in-law Joseph P. Pierro (and his wife Donna). Phyllis always enjoyed the company of an extended family of nieces, nephews, inlaws and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
