Mrs. Barbara A. Jester, 79, died on Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Glen Ridge. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Monday, September 10 from 4 to 7 p.m., with a service to be held at 6:30 p.m.
Born in Montclair, Mrs. Jester grew up in Verona and lived in Parish, Fla. prior to moving to West Orange in 1997. Mrs. Jester graduated from Verona High School in 1951 and worked for Kiefer Brush Co. in Verona prior to retiring in 1997.
She is the wife of the late George D. Jester, the mother of Bonnie J. Sharkey, Donna M. Cerio and Vincent G. Cerio. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Kiefer and her grandchildren, Andrew Sharkey, Alex Sharkey, Katharine Cerio, Lindsay Cerio and Jordan Cerio.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
