Mrs. Rita Niler, 83, died on December 17, 2015 in Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, (www.proutfuneralhome.com) 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Monday, December 21 at 11 a.m. Friends will be received after 10:30 a.m.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Niler lived in Verona prior to moving to Fort Myers, Fla. 26 years ago.
Mrs. Niler was a member of Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte County, Fla; Continental Women’s Club, Fort Myers; and Hadassah.
She was predeceased by her husband William Niler and her daughter-in-law, Susan Niler. She was the mother of Carrie Niler, Mathew Niler and Howard Niler.
She is also survived by her brother Herbert Teich and 4 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
