Mrs. Lois J. Reising, 74, died on October 20, 2014 at the St. Joseph Medical Center. Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Saturday, October 24 at 10:15 a.m. and proceed to the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell for Graveside prayers at 11 a.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Reising grew up in Bloomfield and lived in Verona for 42 years prior to moving to Fairfield three years ago.
Mrs. Reising attended Douglass College and the Katharine Gibbs School prior to a career as an executive secretary at Schering-Plough Corp. and the Bloomfield Board of Education.
She was involved with BSA Cub Scout Pack 2 Verona, the Laning Avenue School SCA and was a volunteer with Willing Hearts in Caldwell.
Mrs. Reising is survived by her husband of 45 years, Conrad Reising and her sons and their wives, Michael and Asia, and Albert and Danielle, and their children, Henry and Abigail. She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne McGrath and her husband, Giles. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Golden.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
